New Year, New Goals.
It's almost a week into 2016 and I have yet to finalize my goals/resolutions of any kind for the year. My friend and I agreed to swap lists this year so we could keep each other accountable. So far I have:
Drink more water, less of everything else... except coffee. I love my coffee. Maybe only one cup a day though. It's a good thing I don't live near any boba places so I can't be tempted.
Eat less, eat smart. But occasionally I'll pig out and try new foods with my foodie friends. A couple of good restaurants are opening this year nearby.
Take more pictures and record more videos. Bring the DSLR out. It might be time to get a new camera body soon.
Visit my friend in Chicago!
Write more. I originally hoped to churn out one post a week on here, but I think I would run out of topics within a couple months, haha. I'll have to get more creative or just do more things to write about.
Visit more outdoor crags, but also hit up all the other gyms in the area to train on different types of walls. Also it would be cool to find places to climb on any out-of-state trips I decide to take this year.
Commit to the moves when climbing something hard. I'm too scared of falling and that's my biggest weakness.
Work on my core strength.
Set up and use my hangboard. I won a hangboard as a raffle prize from a climbing competition half a year ago, but haven't found a place to put it.
Lock off training as well as pullups. I only got to 7 pullups last year, although my goal was 15...
Lead climb. I've done it once outdoors and mock led a handful of times indoors, but I never got certified at any gym... also because I'm scared of the mandatory fall. Sigh.
Learn to set up ropes outside as well as ascending ropes, so I can get better vantage points for climbing photography.
Continue to use the 7 Try Rule, and everything else on this list by Crux Crush.
Draw more, design more.
Maybe try to do a handstand, haha.
Cheers to the new year!
